The Legacy Project is about creating opportunities --- opportunities for families, professionals, and students.  As conscious people, we recognize the issues that perpetuate poverty and political powerlessness.  How many times have we had conversations with friends and family about issues of poverty, education, social access, and consumer and policy manipulation of people of color and the poor?  These issues are the root causes of many of the life and death situations faced by so many people.  Though we are capable of identifying social inequities and understand the tasks that must be undertaken, we are often overwhelmed by the prospect of tackling those difficult issues. Our daily struggle can leave us individually weary, desperate, and distracted.  Ultimately, the Legacy Project is about meeting, creating, and networking  --- focusing on people’s intrinsic talents as Artists, Doctors, Gardners, Lawyers, Politicians, Waste Managers, Computers Techs and others, to create opportunities for those that are economically and politically less fortunate.
